X-factor Triathlon Training
Triathlon is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States. Since the debut of triathlon as an Olympic competition in 2000, the number of participants has increased steadily. Triathlon can be a complex sport and intimidating for junior athletes. While training for triathlons is tough enough, doing it alone can be particularly difficult. That's why with the X-factor Junior Triathlon Club, participants have the added benefit of training as a group and competing as a team. Since triathlon is primarily an individual sport, there are a relatively few junior teams or clubs. KidSports is excited to bring the first junior triathlon program to Fountain Hills and North Scottsdale for kids of all abilities ages 10 to 18. The team is designed to be an instructional and supportive training environment to introduce youth athletes, boys and girls, to the sport of triathlon. The three disciplines that make up triathlon (swimming, cycling and running) are natural activities for many youths. By combining them into a single sport, a comprehensive and fun fitness challenge is created for the athlete. The X-factor Triathlon Program will provide a fun, group setting for junior triathletes to train, learn and improve with other athletes like themselves. The team will be led by experienced coaches, who can provide juniors with the skills and training necessary for further development in the sport.
